~ Cornemuse du Centre No. 2 ~

"A fine example of the Cornemuse du Centre, the bagpipe type they used in the middle of France. The instruments have had a long evolution and nowadays this type is used in many ensembles, together with the hurdy-gurdy or with other bagpipes in different keys. I made this bagpipe from very black ebony and imitation ivory. The customer lives in Normandy and wanted an oakleaf; I made it from two types of rootwood (maple and walnut). " ~ Frans Hattink
