Close on the heels of the East Germans' philatelic debacles comes Disney Studios with this ridiculous bagpipe. Suggestive of a Highland pipe, Goofy's instrument is transformed here into a bladder-pipe - an altogether different class of instrument - by moving the shrunken bag out from under the player's arm and by having the chanter and blowpipe emerge from opposite ends. Never mind the three equal-length drones. Well, it's a cartoon, right? Then why is the violin drawn in a completely correct manner? Hmmmm.... |
