This appears to be a Scottish Great Highland Pipe dressed up in green. There are at least two Irish variations of the Highland pipe (there are also arguments that it's the other way around - that the GHB is a variant Irish pipe). Perhaps political factors are at work here, keeping the Irish piper playing a standard British Army instrument. Opinions? |
